In addition to the content in its Google Play stores, Android is also open-source and fully open-source. There are a couple of different Google-owned platforms within Google, but they both rely on the public code from some of their engineers. It’s a fairly small company that’s committed to bringing its content to developers, who take some time to make it work, and maintain its code locally.
